Brazer (Manufacturing Opportunity)

We're hiring Brazers at a growing custom manufacturer in the Richmond area - and we're open to candidates with no prior brazing experience. If you have a steady hand, are comfortable working with your hands all day, and want to learn a skilled trade, we want to talk to you.

This is a career, not a job. Brazing is a specialized skill - the kind that companies pay well for and that stays with you for life. Our client will train you from the ground up. Show up, work hard, learn the craft, and grow.

What You'd Actually Do Every Day

• Build custom heat exchanger coils by assembling and brazing metal components together
• Read production drawings and follow work orders to make sure each piece is built to spec
• Use a brazing torch to join metal components - copper, steel, and various alloys
• Assemble return bends, headers, and distributors onto coils
• Work with your team on the shop floor to keep production moving safely
• Keep your work area clean and organized (5S standards)

You'll be on your feet, using your hands, and doing real, tangible work. If you like seeing the results of what you do at the end of every day, this is that kind of job.

What We're Looking For

• Steady hands and good manual dexterity - brazing is precision work
• Good eyesight for close-detail work
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Basic reading and math (you'll be reading drawings and measuring)
• Comfortable being on your feet for a full shift
• Team player attitude - this is a collaborative floor
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

No prior experience required. If you've done welding, HVAC work, auto body, jewelry making, or any other work that involves precision with your hands, that's a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable standing, bending, and stooping throughout your shift
• Comfortable stepping up and down onto work platforms
• Able to work with your wrists, arms, hands, and fingers in various positions
• Good vision at close range for detail work
