Thoracic Surgeon Opening in Kalamazoo, MILocated in Kalamazoo, MIFull time; BC/BEOverview A nationally recognized cardiovascular care program in southwest Michigan is seeking a full time BC/BE thoracic surgeon Join a long standing heart institute team of 24 physicians and 18 advanced practice providers, with more than 12 outreach clinics in surrounding cities The cardiothoracic surgery team is 2 surgeons and 2 full time APPs Advanced capabilities include diagnostic testing, electrophysiology, anticoagulation services, a heart failure clinic and pulmonary hypertension clinic, and a structural heart program Experienced physicians and new graduates are welcome, and mentors are available 40 hours per week (36 patient facing and 4 administrative hours) with a mix of inpatient and outpatient care Call: currently 1 in 2, with APPs taking first call Equipment: 22 ORs including outpatient, 7 cath labs (2 hybrid) and 2 robots in the ORQualifications MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic SurgeryAbout the area Kalamazoo is a college town in southwest Michigan, about 2 to 3 hours from Chicago and Detroit, with arts, dining and lakes nearby
