Urology Physician

Our client, a renowned healthcare provider, is looking for a Urologist - Academic Hospital to start right away.

Location: Bronx, NY

Responsibilities

• Join an established department alongside 1 full-time specialist and 2 nurse practitioners
• Significant existing patient demand with opportunity to quickly build volume
• Bread-and-butter general practice
• Schedule likely includes 2 half days of clinic with a mix of consults and operating room time
• Very flexible operating room, accessible for cases (current specialist may do 3 cases per half-day)
• Level II Trauma Center with limited trauma exposure (approximately 10-15 cases annually)
• Strong support from advanced practice providers taking first-line call responsibilities
• Leadership open to creative scheduling and call structures
• Future opportunity for a part-time female specialist due to patient demand

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in the relevant field
• Comfortable practicing broad-spectrum general procedures
• Interest in a community-based practice model
• Ability to perform:
  • Cystoscopies
  • Kidney stone management
  • General consults and procedures
• Preference for experienced or mid-career professionals, though all qualified candidates will be considered
• Must be comfortable working in a non-robotic surgery environment (looking to add a robot in 2027)

Compensation

• Base salary 50% collections from dollar one
• Additional compensation for call above threshold
