Urology Physician

An opportunity is available for a Board-Certified orBoard-Eligible Urology Physician to provide locum tenens coverage at an acutecare hospital in Cottonwood, Arizona. The physician will provide 24-hour callcoverage and perform a variety of urologic procedures in both the operatingroom and clinical setting.
Schedule & Coverage
November 21: 8:00 AM-8:00 AM (24-hour shift)
November 22: 8:00 AM-8:00 AM (24-hour shift)
24-hour call coverage.
Average callback time: approximately 2-6hours per day.
Approximately 3-4 surgeries per week.
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide inpatient urology coverage andrespond to call needs.
Perform urologic surgeries and procedures.
Evaluate and manage patients with urologicconditions.
Provide procedural and surgical care,including:
o Ureteroscopy
o Laser lithotripsy
o TURP
o TURBT
o Flexible cystoscopy
Preferred Procedures:
TRUS biopsy
In-clinic vasectomy
Facility Details
99-bed acute care hospital.
Adult Level IV Trauma Center.
Robotic surgical technology available;experience with robotics is not required.
Disposable flexible cystoscopes available.
EMR
Cerner.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
Active Arizona medical license or IMLC Letterof Qualification (LOQ) required.
DEA required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
